On Thursday 14th November, Dunstall Hill Primary School hosted the first ever Inter-MAT Mathematics Competition. Thanks to our links with the Wolverhampton Wanderers Foundation, we were able to host the competition at the Molineux Stadium. It was very impressive.

Four children from each of the six schools in the PHMAT competed against each other in ten gruelling rounds to ‘Crack the Code.’ The challenges were tricky, but all the children worked hard together in order to solve the problems. Nahid, Muniba, Ibrahim and Mohamed competed for Dunstall Hill and achieved an impressive joint second place with Berrybrook Primary School. Well done to Woodthorne Primary School who were the champions, who managed to work out how many seconds there are in a year in the final tie breaker challenge!

Thank you to all the Mathematics Coordinators in the PHMAT for helping to organise a fantastic afternoon of mathematics! We look forward to the next one!
