As part of our Egyptians topic, the children in Year 4 have learnt about the River Nile, the mummification process (including mummifying a tomato), Egyptian gods, writing hieroglyphics  and the Pyramids. They have had the opportunity to sculpt a scarab beetle out of clay, apply their understanding of mixing colours to create different shades to paint their scarab beetles, listened to cultural music from the Egyptian times and compared it to recent music and created their own animations about the mummification process.
