To end our topic on The Pacific Ocean, year 6 enjoyed a Japanese day where students had an opportunity to dress up and take part in different Japanese activities. As a class, we wrote traditional Japanese Haiku poems, made origami boats and painted Japanese Cherry Blossom Trees. The highlight of our day was making a savoury Japanese dish of Chicken Teriyaki Noodles where students planned, prepared and cooked the ingredients independently and then tasted and evaluated their culinary skills!
